Welcome to my website

I am currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Science at the Universidad San Sebastian, in Santiago, Chile, where I also chair the research ethics committee. I am a physician with a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Sheffield, UK, and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Department of Bioethics at the National Institutes of Health, USA. My research interests focus on moral theory, research ethics, priority-setting, animal ethics, and other areas of bioethics. I am also President of the NGO Médicos Sin Marca (Doctors Without Brands).
